A genuine taste of Athens (Duration: 3-4 hours)
Start the day as locals by drinking traditional Greek coffee at a truly unconventional cafe. Following that we will have a Greek ‘breakfast’ and tell stories behind a ‘peculiar’ beverage. After that, we visit a ‘bakalotaverna’ and taste a variety of top quality Greek products (cheese, olive oil, cold cuts, bread, mastic, homemade sweets and so on), everything supplied by small family businesses all over Greece. Then we make a surprise stop to indulge in traditional sweet recipes ('loukoumi'!) handed down from generation to generation at a well-hidden, family-run company. And if we still have time and we wish to continue tempting our senses, we'll be looking behind the scenes of a 100 year-old pastry shop where we will indulge in enticing sweet treats (even preparing them on site with the help of an expert!).
