Andrea Razeto is vice-president of the Italian Marine Industry Association-UCINA and president of ICOMIA. Andrea has been involved in the marine industry since 1990, when he began running a family business in northern Italy, which specialised in the manufacture of marine hardware for yachts and ships. The door locks, handles and cabinet hardware that his company manufactured were used by boat builders the world over.
Andrea has been a member of the ICOMIA Executive Committee since 2012 and was elected as president in June 2018. His term will run until June 2020. It was important to him that he got more involved with ICOMIA in order to serve the industry on an international level. At the time, he was also a member of the METSTRADE Exhibitors Committee. Andrea said: “I am proud to be part of ICOMIA, which achieves these aims by removing technical and trading barriers, making boating easier and safer by harmonizing rules and encouraging the sharing of market information. Together these activities make ICOMIA the most influential organization in our industry”.
Andrea grew up at the Italian Riviera and is a boating enthusiast. He is passionate about encouraging more people –especially youth– to take up this wonderful hobby, which is key for the growth of the marine industry.
